More than 4.5 million people use the TOEIC test, including corporations, educational institutions, and governmental bodies. That is because the TOEIC exam assesses the English language ability of people who wish to work or study in international environments.
TOEIC exams include a speaking and writing test, as well as a listening and reading test.
The TOEIC listening and reading test contains 200 multiple choice questions. The listening part of the TOEIC test has 100 questions and you will be given 45 minutes to complete it. The reading part of the TOEIC test also has 100 questions and you will be given 75 minutes to complete this part of the TOEIC tests.
The TOEIC speaking and writing test is taken on the internet. For the TOEIC speaking test, you must read aloud, verbally respond to questions, and orally explain solutions and opinions about various problems and subjects. You will be given 20 minutes for the TOEIC speaking test.
The TOEIC writing test contains 8 questions and last for 60 minutes. You will have to write sentences based on pictures, prepare written responses to email, and write an opinion essay.
TOEIC scores range from 10 to 990, with subscores for each part ranging from 5 to 495.
Many students complete their TOEIC preparation by taking TOEIC online classes.
