The Cambridge Tests of English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) are taken by more than 2 million students in 130 countries around the world each year.
The Cambridge Examinations Syndicate offers teacher and candidate support, exam preparation, and classroom resources.
The Cambridge teaching certificate is called the Cambridge TESOL, TEFL Cambridge, or CELTA. A candidate can earn this teaching certificate after taking a Cambridge course in teaching.
The Cambridge assessments are also sometimes called the Cambridge EFL exams. The Cambridge Tests of ESOL include the following:
- Key English Test (KET)
- Preliminary English Test (PET)
- Cambridge First Certificate in English (FCE)
- Cambridge Advanced English (CAE)
- Certificate of Proficiency in English (CPE)
- Certificate in English as a Second Language (ESOL)
- International English Language Testing System (IELTS)
